What I really love about Malin is that she expresses her thoughts and speaks her mind without being afraid of what anyone else thinks. She really helped me to overcome my fear of forgetting lines by showing me exercises and games to learn them and which give me confidence. She was very committed to the whole process. We met often and she took great interest in seeing my growth as an actor over the year. Because Malin is an acting coach, pedagogue and director, her input was invaluable to me as she had three different perspectives to give. I look forward to working with her in future.

With both a Master in Actor Training and Coaching and a diploma in directing at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (Central), a BA in Pedagogy and studies of dramaturgy at RADA, I have coached actors in Sweden and around the world, both for auditions prestigious stage schools and TV / film productions.

My sessions are held at Oxenstiernsgatan 25, opposite the TV huset and in the same premises as Actors in Sweden – Bo Thulin Management. For those who do not live in Stockholm, there is the possibility of coaching via Skype, Facetime or Zoom. I also offer to coach on set.

Sometimes actors belong to me wondering if I’m working on a specific method. When it comes to individual coaching, the answer to the question is no. It is a conscious choice. Over the years, especially during my master’s studies at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and studies at Rada, I have immersed myself in methods such as Stanislavski, Tjekhov, Grotowski, Lecoq, Meisner and Viewpoints. Several of these methods are great sources of inspiration and in which I also hold workshops. to mention a few.

When it comes to my work as a coach, I work freely based on all the knowledge and experience I have accumulated over the years. One of my areas of interest, which also characterizes my work, is authenticity and presence and how to train this (read magical) ability. I have studied this area more closely during my work on my dissertation Demystifying Presence- approaching an understanding of presence in actor training.
